Dances
The map below shows the route taken by both Trevithick Day dances.
The Bal Maidens & Miners Dance takes place at 10.15am
Approximately 240 children from nine local schools, are traditionally dressed of Trevithick's time. Bal Maidens worked at the top of the mines, helping to operate such things as the tin-stamps, which crushed the ore brought to the surface by the Miners. The children's dance is accompanied by miniature steam engines.

Trevithick's Dance takes place at 2.30pm
Dancers are people who live or work in Camborne. They are dressed in the Cornish colours of yellow and black. The dancers were traditionally followed up the main streets by steam engines of all shapes and sizes.

Both dances are led by Camborne Town Band, playing the specially arranged 'Trevithick's Tune'. To hear tune, and for more information on the band. Visit their website by clicking here.
